Shapoorji Pallonji Bumi Armada Godavari Private Limited (SPBAG), a subsidiary of Shapoorji Pallonji Oil and Gas Private Limited (SPOGL) has been awarded the CHARTER HIRE contract for provision of a Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on May 02, 2019. The FPSO will be positioned in KG-DWN 98/2 field, approximately 22 Km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The primary operational period is nine years and may further be extended up to seven years on an annual basis at the discretion of ONGC
The proposed FPSO will be a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) conversion with capability of handling 50,000 barrels of oil per day and 2.96 MMSCMD of gas and with sea water injection capacity of 50,000 barrels of water per day. The FPSO will be equipped with an internal turret designed for monsoon conditions prevalent at the field. The FPSO is expected to be delivered by October 2021 with first oil due in September 2021.
This is the largest FPSO Contract awarded by ONGC and secured by the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
